The 92NY Center for Culture and Arts held an electrifying conversation that unfolded on the evening of Monday, May 6th. Whoopi Goldberg, the iconic entertainer, storyteller, and EGOT winner engaged in a deep dialogue with best-selling author, screenwriter, producer and director Adriana Trigiani

Their focus? Goldberg's latest memoir, "Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, And Me".

Goldberg and Trigiani delved into the heart of Goldberg's memoir, navigating its intricate pages with profound insight and a candid reflection. As Goldberg shared intimate anecdotes from her life, including how she felt like her project apartment was a mansion and how her brother was a ladies’ man, the audience was drawn into a tapestry of familial bonds, resilience, and the profound impact of personal narrative.

The memoir, a mosaic of memories and reflections, offers a poignant exploration of Goldberg's relationships with her mother and brother other s life challenges she faced. Through her trademark wit and authenticity, Goldberg illuminates the complexities of family dynamics, painting a vivid portrait of love, loss, and the enduring power of connection.

From tender recollections of her childhood to reflections of adulthood. Goldberg's storytelling and humor captivated the audience, inviting them to embark on a journey of self-discovery and shared humanity.

In the intimate setting of the 92NY Center for Culture and Arts, Goldberg and Trigiani created a profound connection with their audience, igniting questions. Through  laughter and tears, reflection and revelation, Goldberg's memoir came to life, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to bear witness to this exchange of stories.

I recommend taking a dive into the memoir as you will experience raw emotion, humor and a treasure of wisdom.
